Time is going by too quickly!

Today Jonathan and I took Navy to have her 9 months pictures taken.  She was so funny!  She laughed and waved and clapped at the photographer until the very end of the session, so I am hoping that she was able to get a lot of good shots.  When we had her 6 months pictures taken she was sitting up all by herself, and today at her 9 months she was standing all by herself!

After pictures, we went to see my Granny.  Navy likes going to her house because she has a foot rest that she likes to walk around.  Navy has been taking steps for a while now, but she usually has to be prompted to walk from Jonathan or I to someone else.  Today, while at my Granny's house, Navy walked towards her chair, without any prompting.  She took about 6-7 steps and we were so excited!  We tried to get her to do this again and again, but when she knows the camera is on, she can be stubborn.  We finally were able to tape her walking a few steps.

I love watching Navy grow and it seems like she does something new almost everyday.  I can't believe how fast time is going by.  However.....this does not make me want to have another baby any time soon.  Navy is only going to be little for a couple of years and I want to enjoy every minute I have with her, because it all goes by so quickly.

Happy Father's Day!

Dear Daddy,

I love you so much!  Thank you for being the best Daddy in the world.  My mommy told me that you changed my first diaper, and you still change them, everyday...even the poopy ones!  Not all daddies do that.

You also play with me every morning when my mommy goes to work, and you feed me my breakfast and my lunch.  You try to trick me by giving me peas instead of pears, but it's ok.  I don't mind.

You take me to story time at the library on Tuesdays and it doesn't bother you that there are more mommies there than daddies.  You take me to the park and we swing on the swings and you make me laugh and smile.  You take pictures of me and send them to Mommy, so that she knows what we are doing and it makes her feel better, knowing that I am happy and safe.

You sacrifice so much for me.  Your sleep, your free time and so many other things that I probably don't even realize, because I am still a baby.  You are never too tired, too selfish or too preoccupied to hold me or play with me.  I am a lucky little girl.  I love you so much, Daddy, and I wanted to thank you for everything that you do for me.  You are the best daddy in the world.  Happy Father's Day!

Love,
Navy Ann

Sunday Mornings

This started when Navy was at my Great Aunt's house and Jonathan let Navy tear up their entire paper.  Ever since then, Navy loves playing with the newspaper.  This morning she played with it until her hands were black.  Once she tried to touch the recliner, Jonathan cleaned her hands :)

It's hot!

Nonna (my mom) got Navy an inflatable pool this week.  Since Navy wanted to go outside, we decided to wash our cars (well, Jonathan really washed them....I watched Navy).  The water was very cold when Navy first got in, so she cried for a minute or two.  After a while, though, she started splashing and having a good time.

Navy also wore her first bikini....Thank you, Aunt Gretchen!
