Navy's 1st Birthday

Navy turned 1 on September 4th and we celebrated with two family parties.  Both of our families are too large to celebrate together and Navy enjoyed celebrating twice.  On Saturday we had a party with my side of the family, and here are a few pictures:
My sister and I made a "Happy Birthday" and " Navy" banner to decorate the house.  They turned out really cute and they were pretty easy to make.  We used scrapbook paper, pre-cut letters and ribbon, glue dots and a hot glue gun.

My mom made monogrammed cookies for the party.
Navy's cake and her smash cake.  She didn't smash it, though.  She "picked" at it.

Then on Sunday, we had a party with Jonathan's side of the family.  Navy and her cousins got to play outside and use some of Navy's new toys.

Thanks to everyone who came out and celebrated with us!

1 Year Pics

For those of you who aren't on Facebook, here is a link to some of Navy's 1 year pictures.  Jonathan and I were so pleased with how they turned out!  If you live in the Evansville area and need a good photographer, please check out Miranda Bertram Photography.  She does a great job, and she's my friend!

Reading

I enjoy looking at books and sometimes I will let Mommy and Daddy read them to me.

When I am done being read to, though, you'd better watch out....

because I will throw a fit until you stop!

Frozen Yogurt Anyone?

Jonathan was off on Wednesday, and we decided to try out a new frozen yogurt place in town called Orange Leaf.  It is similiar to Sweet CeCe's, but I personally liked Oranged Leaf better.  You choose the flavor of frozen yogurt you want, plus you can add toppings as well.
Check out Orange Leaf here.

We have tried not to give Navy sweets, but it is so hard.  She wants to eat what we are eating, and it's hard to hide food from her now.  She has had ice cream a couple of times and some bites of cake.  She also got to eat an entire vanilla wafer cookie the other day (thanks Aunt Betty Sue) and she would have eaten tons more if I would have let her.

So when we went to Orange Leaf, we let her have some frozen yogurt, and I think she ate more of mine than I did.  She was so cute!

That bite's not too big for me!

Full and happy!
