We drove down and stopped at our friend Guy's house in Atlanta on the way down to break up the drive. On the way home, though, we drove straight through (we were ready to get home). Navy did well in the car, considering that this time around she was older and likes to move around a lot more than she did two years ago when we drove down to my dad's house.
Jonathan took Navy out into the ocean almost as soon as we arrived. She got a little scared because almost instantly a wave hit her in the face and got water in her mouth. Luckily she got over that fear and started to enjoy being in the water. She loved playing in the sand with her cousins and didn't mind getting "dirty."
We also got out and did some non-beachy things--We visited my dad one afternoon-- We went to Fort Matanzas--
We went to historic St. Augustine and walked around (sweating to death I might add)--Toured Casillo De San Marcos--
Went to Magic Kingdom one day (also sweated to death on that day as well) and it was worth the heat and long lines because Navy had a good time.
As with all vacations---I was really looking forward to it, had a great time, but was so happy to come back home!
